A total of samples were collected. 38 batches, covering the city's major brands produced and sold. Inspectors were in accordance with "Respiratory Protection Products Self-priming Filtering Particle Respirator" (GB2626-2006), "Sanitary Standards for Disposable Hygiene Products" (GB15979-2002), and "National Safety Technical Code for Textile Products" (GB18401-2010 National standards, such as mask identification, filtration efficiency, microbiological indicators, and textile safety technical requirements, were tested for risks.

Mask filtration efficiency refers to the percentage of particulates in the air that are filtered out by the mask under specified conditions. In the Shanghai test test, the measured value of the filtering efficiency of 24 batches of masks was lower than the standard minimum requirement of 90%; the requirements for one batch of masks were lower than 95%; 21 batches were not labeled with filter grades; 6 batches The product has not been marked as an implementation standard. In the products with low filtration efficiency, the measured values ​​of many masks are surprisingly low. For example, the test result of a common polyester dust mask shows “0”.

Some masks may cause skin problems

According to the report, the number of microbiological indicators such as the total number of bacterial colonies, coliform bacteria, pathogenic pyogenic bacteria, and total number of fungal colonies in the 38 batches of masks tested this time were not exceeded. However, in 13 batches of cotton fabrics, gauze and other textile fabric masks, the pH value of six batches of fabrics or linings exceeds the standard values; formaldehyde content and degradable carcinogenic aromatic amine dyes have not exceeded the standard.
