Human imagination seems to be endless, and NASA is now considering allowing satellites to harvest “solar energy†from space.
NASA is working on a code-named "screw" project that uses solar panels equipped with satellites to collect solar energy and transmit energy back to Earth.
According to the grand blueprint announced by NASA, NASA will implement SPS-ALPHA solar power satellite phased array project in 2025 and launch multiple satellites in 2025 for solar energy acquisition.
According to NASA, this modular SPS-ALPHA satellite is launched into the deep space by space ship siteo, and then collects solar energy through solar panels. The satellite then converts the collected energy to microwave energy and transmits it to the ground.
NASA screw project official said: "The efficiency of collecting solar energy in space is far higher than the ground, and the conversion efficiency is higher, and more solar energy can be collected. If the project can achieve economic benefits, then the transmission of energy from space to Earth is no longer a dream.
