From January to November 2011, Shandong Province produced a total of 140 million tons of raw coal, which was a year-on-year increase of 2.9%, of which provincial coal mines produced 95.79 million tons of raw coal, an increase of 3.7%. Cumulative sales of 130 million tons of commercial coal, an increase of 1.1%, of which provincial coal mines sold 89.08 million tons of commercial coal, an increase of 2%. Railway coal traffic volume was 31.06 million tons, an increase of 1.9%. At the end of November, the province’s coal inventories totaled 1.6 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.7%. As of December 12th, Shandong Province had 9.2 million tons of coal stocks, with an average of 26 days available. From January to November, the main business income of coal enterprises in the province was 202.08 billion yuan, an increase of 37.4% year-on-year, and profits and taxes were 60.12 billion yuan, an increase of 20.7%.
