Temasek Institute of Technology invents the world's smallest and lightest fuel cell

According to foreign website reports, researchers at Temasek Institute of Technology (TP) Engineering Institute invented the world's smallest and lightest hydrogen fuel cell.

The fuel cell developed by the researchers of the School's Clean Energy Research Center (CERC) and Duralite Power is one-tenth the volume of a commercial fuel cell. A stack weighing only 880g can produce up to 1kW of power. The small fuel cell is suitable for various devices that require light weight, such as drones and personal mobile devices (such as electric bicycles, electric scooters, golf carts, etc.).

This ultra-light fuel cell has a very high energy density, about three times the standard lithium battery, and can provide up to 2-3 hours of flight time for the drone.

CERC of the School of Engineering has been engaged in the research and development of clean energy technologies such as fuel cells, solar energy and energy management systems.
