Sandvik Tooling and Littlejohn & Co have recently reached an agreement to take over Diamond Innovations, and the takeover will be completed by the end of this month.
Diamond Innovations, formerly General Electric's super wear department, was purchased in 2000 by Ritter John. It mainly produces synthetic diamond and cubic boron nitride for industrial applications such as machining, oil and gas drilling, grinding, rock drilling and metal wire drawing.
Diamond Innovations has annual sales of more than SEK 1 billion (approximately $142 million) and employs 600 people. The company's headquarters and largest production division are located near Worthing, Ohio, with other divisions in Florida, Ireland, and Hong Kong. Sales markets include the Americas, Europe and Asia.
