Abstract of the main contents of the thesis: With the continuous development of science and technology, the application of non-metallic hard and brittle materials such as silicon materials, sapphire, engineering ceramics, optical glass and gemstones in space technology, machinery industry, petrochemical industry, construction and other fields The more and the requirements for the dimensional and shape accuracy of parts made from these materials are increasing. Since the mid-1990s, wire saw cutting has been widely used in single crystal silicon chips due to its narrow slit, uniform thickness and low warpage. Wire saws are divided into two types: free abrasives and fixed abrasives. Free abrasive wire cutting is less efficient and is not conducive to the processing of harder materials, but it is stable in the field of industrial cutting, and still accounts for most of the market in modern wafer cutting. The fixed abrasive wire saw refers to the diamond wire saw, which has the advantages of high cutting efficiency, high hardness material processing, and the market prospect is broad. The movement of the wire during the processing of the free abrasive and the fixed abrasive wire saw is mostly reciprocating. Because the wire saw needs to be reversed, and the wire is thin, the speed of the wire saw is low (about 10~15m/s), which brings two problems: First, it is difficult to give full play to the superior performance of the diamond abrasive grain; Second, the surface of the material processing has traces of reversal, which affects the surface integrity of the processing. A toroidal diamond wire saw is a flexible cutting tool made by consolidating diamond particles on a wire substrate in various ways. Well Diamond Wire Saw has been manufacturing and selling several types of circular diamond wire saws for decades, with speeds up to 20 m/s. The research on the circular diamond wire saw has been carried out in the past ten years in China.
