HyperPower shows high-performance motor solutions are expected to promote the future of super high-speed rail

Before the super high-speed rail becomes a reality, it is obvious to get the power system of this vehicle. Even if the size is not large, it still needs to accelerate the cockpit from rest to 155 mph (250 km / h) in a fraction of a second. Western Australia is currently producing high-density battery packs and motors to promote the future development of many super high-speed rails worldwide. The founder and general manager of HyperPower Pty Ltd. said in the headquarters in the northern suburbs of Perth that some companies are dealing with them.

Although Michael Fragomeni did not give a specific name, it is not difficult to imagine the three major existing developers-Virgin's Hyperloop One, HTT Super High Speed Rail Transportation Technology, and Transpod.

In addition, the SINTEF research team in Scandinavia and DGWHyperloop in India are also very interested in the concept of super high-speed rail.

To enter the US market, HyperPower has set up an office in Seattle. When asked how the motor is different from competing products on the market, Fagomeni bluntly stated that energy density.

For small and light things, the energy density of HyperPower is quite high. Its motor and battery are designed to achieve maximum energy density, and its mechanical structure is quite durable.

Previously, as part of HyperPower's sister company Top EV Racing, Fragomeni had planned to compete in cars equipped with the motor and battery pack.

It has quite an amazing acceleration capability, can accelerate to 330 mph (530 km / h) in 3.7 seconds and complete a linear acceleration of 1,000 feet (304.8 meters).

After the car became famous, HyperPower began to study a variety of power combinations. For example, this car is equipped with four QFM-360-X motors, with a total power of 4000kW (5000 horsepower) and a torque of 21,000 Nm.

By calculating the linear acceleration test data, the performance of the motor can be reflected from the side. HyperPower has also seen the potential of achieving 0-600 km / h in 5 seconds and 0-200 km / h in 0.8 seconds.

Racing tests need to push all components to the limit, taking into account other extreme environments. At present, many people have proposed to lift the carriage by magnetic levitation, but some people have also imagined a plan similar to a hovercraft.

In any case, this is inseparable from the promotion of powerful motors. It is reported that QFM-360-X has a diameter of 430mm and a length of about 180mm, and the overall appearance is still quite petite.

Its single output power is 1000kW (1340 horsepower), but it has the characteristics of scalability and modularity. With the help of the universal shaft scheme, 10,000kW (13,400 horsepower) can be achieved.

In terms of batteries, it is obviously indispensable to support fast charging technology. The battery designed and developed by HyperPower is dedicated to full 80% energy in 90 seconds. Although it is essentially lithium-ion, the cell technology is still very different from the common lithium batteries on the market.

Looking to the future of zero emissions, this high efficiency and homeopathic torque characteristics are extremely attractive to trucks, cars, aviation, and even mining.
