Hitachi Chemical has previously introduced the lead-acid battery "LL1500-W". The product is well-received due to its expected life expectancy of up to 17 years, and it has been adopted in eight units such as a wind power station in Japan.
In addition to the discharge capacity, the storage battery used to reduce output fluctuations such as photovoltaic power generation and wind power generation is also required to be able to cope with sudden changes in the amount of power. The new product LL1500-WS improved the conductive part of the battery, and increased the number of terminals to 3 times, so that the maximum discharge current of the single battery was increased by 50% compared with the original product LL1500-W, and increased from 600A to 900A.
Taking a system that discharges for 1 hour at an output power of 1MW as an example, when using the LL1500-WS, the cost of the battery can be reduced by about 12% compared with the original product, the installation space can be reduced by about 16%, and the weight of the battery can be reduced by about 15%. .
