On December 19th, a smart "green" ultra-long stroke large-scale marine low-speed diesel engine model 6G60ME-C9.2 was completed in Qingdao Haixi Marine Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. (QMD) and successfully tested. This diesel engine is jointly manufactured by Yichang Marine Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. (YMD) and Qingdao Haixi Marine Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. This indicates that with the support of YMD, QMD has mastered the manufacturing technology of Mann marine diesel engines, laying a good foundation for the subsequent Mann product manufacturing.
At present, QMD has the patents of Mann, Wärtsilä and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, which can produce two-stroke marine low-speed diesel engines with a diameter of 480-980mm. The company's annual production capacity is 1 million horsepower and will reach 3.5 million horsepower in the future.
The 6G60ME-C9.2 model delivered this time is a new intelligent marine low-speed diesel engine launched by Mann, which can flexibly adjust various parameters of the diesel engine. The machine eliminates the traditional camshaft system and uses electronically controlled three-head fuel injection (three injectors per cylinder) to ensure fuel injection and effectively reduce fuel consumption (SFOC). The 6G60ME-C9.2 diesel engine belongs to the “green†ultra-long stroke diesel engine. It has higher power and higher efficiency. The driven propeller has a larger diameter and can meet the higher requirements of the diesel engine power.
