Calcium pollution refers to the pollution caused by CaSO4 precipitation on the resin. Premature leakage of Ca2+ and SO42- occurs in the ion exchanger effluent after calcium contamination of the resin; the exchanger is not well drained during resin regeneration; the regeneration waste liquid is white turbid.
(1) Causes of resin calcium contamination
When the cation exchange resin is regenerated by the H2SO4 solution, after the resin adsorbed Ca2+ exchanges with the H+ ion of the regenerant, when the product of the Ca2+ and SO42-ion concentrations in the regenerant exceeds the solubility of the CaSO4 to a certain range, the CaSO4 precipitates from the aqueous solution. The precipitation on the surface of the resin causes contamination of the cation exchange resin by calcium. Calcium contamination generally occurs in the cation exchanger of the primary desalination system.
(2) Treatment of resin calcium pollution
Resin After calcium contamination of the cation exchange resin, the following measures were taken.
1 The cation exchanger is drained to the surface of the resin about 20 cm before regeneration, and the intake air is scrubbed. The amount of intake air can be tumbling in the exchanger with the resin. After scrubbing, the water was backwashed after JF9201 filtration, and the backwashing flow rate was 8m/h. At the beginning, the backwashed water was white turbid and continued to be backwashed until the backwashed water was clear.
2 JF9201 filtered water backflush the regenerated waste liquid pipeline between the weak cation exchanger and the strong cation exchanger, flush the CaSO4 precipitate at the pipeline and the valve, and the backwash flow rate is controlled to reduce the water flow rate in the weak cation exchanger at 12m/h. It is appropriate.
